Stephanie Adamovich is a clinical supervisor and clinical instructor in the University of Arizona Department of Speech. Language, and Hearing Sciences, UA Hearing Clinic, and in the Living Well with Hearing Loss Audiologic Rehabilitation Program.
Originally from Baltimore, she earned her Master’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences from the University of Arizona in 2001 and her PhD in Audiology with Emphasis in Teaching and Supervision from Gallaudet University in Washington DC in 2009. She has worked with children and adults in a variety of clinical settings including hospital-based out-patient, non-profit, and university clinic.
Dr. Adamovich has strong interest in the science and art of clinical teaching as well as in implantable hearing devices. She is a cochlear implant, bone-anchored hearing device, and middle ear implant programming audiologist. Her research interests in include cochlear implants and aural rehabilitation.
She enjoys volunteer work and has served in the Special Olympics Healthy Athletes-Healthy Hearing program since 2002 as a volunteer state clinical director in Maryland and Kentucky. She currently serves as Special Olympics Arizona regional clinic director.
