Dr. Alireza Pourjavid is a board-certified audiologist and holds a Certification of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Originally from Iran, he moved to the United States in 2012. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Audiology from Iran University of Medical Sciences and Tehran University of Medical Sciences, respectively. Before relocating to the U.S., Dr. Pourjavid worked as a clinical audiologist, hearing aid dispenser, researcher, and university lecturer for more than 11 years.

Dr. Pourjavid earned his Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from the University of Arizona, where he also served as a Clinical Instructor in a teleaudiology training setting and worked for several years as a Research Assistant in the Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences. In addition, he served as a volunteer audiology provider at St. Andrew’s Children’s Clinic in Nogales, Arizona, where he provided hearing healthcare services to underserved pediatric populations and their families.

Dr. Pourjavid’s clinical interests include diagnostic audiology, hearing aids and implantable hearing devices, and the evaluation and management of vertigo and balance disorders. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Pourjavid enjoys spending time with family, gathering with friends, and sharing laughter.
